I am selecting the genre action. The conventions of an action film are guns, explosions, car chases, blood, death, excitment and love interest.

This poster makes you want to go and see the film because as soon as you look at it the names catch your eye first. Normally on a poster the names are not noticable. They do this because the only reason most of the people went to see this film was because the big names such as jet lee and jason statham. This immediately shows you that it is going to be an action film. I also know that its going to be an action film because they are holding weapons.
